Report a concern

If you suspect that someone is trying to use your business for criminal purposes, this page explains what to do and who to contact.

Portcullis is not a law-enforcement body and cannot act on a report in an emergency. If anyone is in immediate danger, call 999.

If you suspect criminal ingress

Do not confront the person or let them know you are suspicious.
Keep all emails, messages, documents and booking records. Do not delete or forward them outside the company.
Write down dates, times, names, phone numbers and anything that was said, as soon as you can.
Tell a director of your company, unless you think they are involved.
Do not pay, sign or agree to anything under pressure, however urgent it is made to seem.
